Overview

Sacred Heart Early Childhood offers a faith-based, structured, comprehensive learning experience. Emphasis is placed on the principles of Catholicism, phonetic awareness, math skills, engaging science concepts, geography, music, and art. Our programs allow children to enhance and practice positive social skills in order to foster strong Christian values. Classroom lessons are extended outdoors in the children’s garden. The garden allows practical, hands-on activities which reinforce math and science skills, cooperation, and self-regulating behavior.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN

The Sacred Heart Pre-Kindergarten follows the Missouri state standards for educating four-year-olds and preparing them academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually for kindergarten. The children are encouraged to explore and learn language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, faith, and personal and social skills.

The children in the extended day Prekindergarten program work with Montessori-based learning centers and participate in additional socialization, free-choice play and outdoor play. Each child selects centers to learn and reinforce language, sensory, mathematics, and culture skills.
